A vaction I'd like to take

“We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine and a whole multicolored collection of uppers, downers, laughers, screamers . . . Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge and I knew we’d get into that rotten stuff pretty soon . . .”

My home town

My Home town smells like poop, Cow poop to be exact.

Saturday, August 16, 2008

I got pooded on.

So today I took my pet hedgehog out for a dust bunny hunt.He wondered around on the floor for thirty-five minutes looking for dust bunnys do devoure. He only found two,but the second one was the size of his head.

While sitting in my lap he pooped, but before I could clean it off, he climed on to my cheast and began to groom my beard.Hedgehog spit is thicker than people spit and it is gross,it took 10 minutes for him to finnish.

So to sum it up, poop on me, slime me,and I will still love you. Go figure.

OGOPOGO, My local monster.

The Ogopogo(pronounced as it's spelled) is the British Colombian cousin of the monster who lives in loch ness.  First Nations legends call the beast the n’ha-a-itk, or “lake demon",The first recorded sighting was in 1872, by Mrs. John Allison. My family has vactioned in the Okanagan Lake area, and  some one I know personally has  seen the beast.

Cadborosaurus is  serpent like creature who has been seen in Cadboro Bay,Vancouver Island. Not as famous as Ogopogo, but still cool.

It's noisy as hell and I'm sick and tired of it.

The wonderful tradition of "The Abbotsford international airshow" is apon me again. Since yesterday eversize and type of air craft have been flying over head, The planes That make the most noise are flying over my apartment it feels like there only inches above the roof.

I now feel like I know whats its like to live in a war zone

A new level of geek.

Today I hit my favorite second hand store, and I scored big time. Well it was big to me anyways.

Thirty-nine  Issues of "the magizine of fantasy & science fiction" and"analog".They range from 1981-1983, Including the month of my birth.  I've never read any science fiction magizines, but the idea strikes a cord in me. Worlds from a dozen diffrent authers all in one pretty package with a cool painting on the front.

Hey look what I found!

I came across  a bag of Books I bought a few months ago, I forgot about them and this is the first time I've seen them since. I do this alot, it's like Chirstmas everytime I come across them. So this is the gift I gave myself:

  • Alfred Hitchcock presents: The masters choice('79)
  • Hitchcock's tales to keep you spell bound('76)
  • Hitchcock's tale to take you breath away('77)
  • Hitchcock's stories that go bump in the night('77)
  • Alfred Hitchcock presents: stories to be read with the door locked.('75)

These are collections of a couple dozen short stories each,The only authers I recognize are Phillip k. Dick and Roald Dahl.

These are all hard cover with dust jackets.

My moneys worth

I stopped in at EB today looking for a birthday present for my cousin, she wanted brain age to go with the DS I had gotten her for cristmas.Just my luck drove all the way across town and they didn't have it, But just as I was about to leave something caught my eye. Not a game but a price, $2.99. First was Break'em all, a break-out clone. 3 out of 5. Second was Flushed away, based on the pixar movie of the same name, a crappy platformer. 0.5 out of 5.

Most of the time a quality game can be had for twenty dollars. I recently got space invaders extreame and Cross worDS for the great price of twenty clams each.

A Begining

Okay ladys & gentleman, This blog is going to feature all the nerd, geeky, dorky and just plain dum things I collect and make. Let's just hope I can keep up with myself.
